27 June: treatment against leishmaniosis, loss of sight in his left eye

Description

This dog has been founded in the middle of the road in Cordoba. The cars passed near them and nobody stopped to pick up.
He has sores in his body. He has a lot of ticks that have left injuries. He has his willy out.
He has skin infection, injuries in his paws, malnutrition, he has a knock in the left of his face, his eyes are in bad conditions, he has a lot of pain and he can't move.
His fosterhome are taking care of him but we think that it would be better if he comes to Granada. Maybe he has someting inside and he will must to be recovered in veterinarian. If he mustn't to be at vet, we haven't place for him. Please, he needs a fosterhome and advertising.
has someone a small place for him? Update 21. Oct

Update 31st October:
We went to the veterinarian and he needs further treatment against leishmania. We cut his nails and since he showed much fear, 3 persons had to hold him. He recognised Miriam and Mar and we could see he was happy.
When people ring the door he starts barking loudly now and we want to correct this behaviour. When we go for walks and leave him at a certain distance he gets very afraid we would leave him. He always wants closness and love. Every day is a present for us, he is a wonderful dog!
May: past 30th the volunteers went to Cordoba to take him. Now he is in Campanilla, our vet in Granada. He has passed a good night and he eats a lot. He has infection in each centimeter of his body. He has taking antibiotic and saline solution for stabilizing. He has in his left eye a cicatrized ulcer, problably he will have only 1/3 of vision. He is now 7,5 kg. The vet says that they can do a perfect study of dog anatomy beucause he is skeletal. We can see every bone and muscle. We are waiting the analytics and we hope that the kidneys are ok. When the vet is going to cure him, he open his mouth but it's for the pain. He isn't agressive.
He is a maltreatment case because one dog can't live in this conditions alone. We think that someone has had Vynut in a closed place without treatment and when this "human" was tired to see the dog in these conditions, he has left him in the road.

Update 2nd June: he has leishmaniosis and negativ in ticks illness. The kidneys are ok, maybe the lever a bit upset. He has anemy and low defenses. At he moment he is stabilished and we hope that he will recover his force and energy.

THANK YOU FOR ALL DONATIONS THAT WE HAVE RECEIVED FOR HIS RECOVER.

Update 5th June: he is better each day. He walks in the clinic. He doesn't walk very well but he runs when the veterinarian wants to give hime the pills. He eats a lot and he has more energy. The liver is a bit touched but it's because the anemy. But he will go better. At the moment he is taking alopurinol for leishmaniosis. He has 500mg more than 1 week ago. It's very important and we are very happy.

Update 9th June: Vynut has the energy of dinosaur in his veins. We can see his improvement slowly: he has more hair, his loos is everyday more intense, he starts to be angry with other dogs... yes, yes, he doesn't like to be with other dogs. He growls and barks with his special voice to the dogs that are near his box. He is yet in Clinica Campanilla, but the door of his box is opened and Vynut can go everywhere in the clinic. He makes his things in the farest place of his bed. If there are a lot of people in the clinic, he goes to his bed to rest. His improvement is a encouragement for us, for continuing to fight for him and for other animals. Next Monday 11st June he will go with his fosterhome Natalia. She has gone everyday to the Clinic to visit him. Thank you Natalia! He will have to take pills and the fosterhome must clean the injuries but Vynut doesn't need more special treatment. With your donations we can pay the cost of him. Thank you very much, you can not donate more money for him because we have enough. We can thank all people who have helped him. And thank to Mar and Miriam from Campanilla Clinic in Granada, who have had a wonderful performance with us and specially with Vynut. Thanks of them we are very proud of our Vynut........... of YOUR Vynut forever

Update 11st June: today he has gone out of the clinic. He will continue his recover in the fosterhome in Granada. He had a lot of fair of the street. It was difficult to put him in the car and go to the appartment. The girls who took him cried and suffered while they having him in their arms. Now he must beat his fears together his fosterhome. Again, thank you very much to all peple who have helped him!
Actualizacion 16th of June: He feels a lot better although he moves very slowley and is hobbling. He leds us touch his wounds and we can spray on medicine, he loves it. He is very cuddly and when he sees us he starts moving his tail a lot more intense than before so that his whole back body starts shaking. His wounds are healing step by step and his face becomes prettier day by day.

20 of June: Vynut feels good, he is recovering slowly but day by day. He is very thankful for the help received... One day he stole a piece of cheece out of the garbage can. I used to give him a little piece after having treated his wounds. Now I have to close the can properly :-) The worst wound got infected and I asked the clinic for advice. They asked me to pick up some medicine, nothing worse has happened. I send you some fotos: from the balkony where he loves to hide when I want to put on his spray, and his sleeping place- his favourite spot!

27 of June: part of his crust of the wound at his ellbow has fallen of. The worst wound is healing slowly. Each time I touch him there to treat his wound he starts whimmering - a sign that he is regaining sensibility.

28 of August: Today we were in the clinic and they told us he is doing fine. He does not need any further treatment with eyecream but he has to continue taking his pills against leishmaniosis.
Yesterday we gave him his first bath which he hated!
