Association Ladridos Vagabundos (Homeless Barkers)
Registered in the Andalusian Registry of Associations under the nº5932 since 17/04/2006.
Greetings, woofs, and purrs from our four-legged friends! We are delighted to introduce you to our non-profit association in which we dedicate ourselves to rescuing, helping, treating, fostering and finding new homes to the furry creatures that had the misfortune of ending up in the wrong hands, and then heartlessly abandoned to their own fate.
Many are the pets that arrive to our facilities and our fostering homes. And there are even more requests of help, notices and people who literally call us to 'get rid' of their furry little friends. We often find ourselves completely overwhelmed and with no means to deal with all these requests. But day after day we continue fighting to make this situation for the better, so the animals that suffered abandonment have a happy ending, and raise awareness between people.
Originally, our association was dedicated exclusively to dogs. However, since 2010 we are also trying to help to our forgotten feline friends, for whom we created the project “Invisible Meows”, which is sustained by a few fostering homes that take care of the cats.
“Homeless Barkers” doesn't receive any kind of subsidy, and we maintain ourselves thanks to the contributions of our small group of members, volunteers and one-off collaborators who offer their help in an altruistic and selfless way.
Our intention is that every animal that arrives into our care is well treated and looked after until we find it an adoptant. Unfortunately, there aren't many of us, so we can't dedicate each and every one of our guests as much time as we'd like to. That's why we always require volunteers, because the more people we have, the more attention and care our animals will receive.
Or if you prefer it, we have two phone numbers you can call anytime between 10:00 and 22:00 o'clock, and we'll gladly resolve any questions you might have.
General information: (+34) 676 287 824
Adoptions: (+34) 676 921 396
All of us, who take part in the association, do it as volunteers, so we might not be able to answer all the calls and requests. If for some reason you can't reach us by phone, do not hesitate in sending us an e-mail and we'll get back at you within 48 hours, or be patient and try calling us again later. We regret to inform you, however, that due to the lack of economical means, we won't call anyone back or reply to text messages.
Please, be responsible and don't call us to abandon your friend. There are already plenty of us as it is, given the lack of human consciousness in this country. We are sure there are many other options before abandonment that you haven't considered yet. Think that a shelter will never be a substitute for a loving home.
