Report from the volunteer: When I arrived in the morning at 8.45 at the shelter, I saw a bunch of dogs around Freddy inside his cage giving him nugdes while he was laying on the floor his paws upside down. At the beginning I could not see much blood or wounds and thought in cleaning his wounds and shaving him But when I tried to touch his lower body, he screamed and tried to bite me. I finally could clean and desinfect his back but when I again tried to touch him at his tummy he again turned to behave hysterical. Thus why I decided to take him to the veterinarian.
At 16.30 Marta from the clinic Darwin phoned me saying she never had seen anything like this before. His intestinal wall was pierced at two parts but not due to the bites but rather by the pressure of the canine teeth. At first it seemed that a mesh had to be applied but finally he could be sewed. Furthermore, he has a severe wound in his left tigh and a drainage hat to be applied. Although a pellet was found in his tummy. We need to make sure that no further organs are affected..
